Our Library of Things is run and managed by independant volunteers. All income we receive will go towards buying and maintaining tools for us all to use.
A library of things… where people can borrow tools and other household items, similar to borrowing a book from a library
People from our local communities are looking for all sorts of things, we don't all need to own things we might only use every so often.
Sharing things helps each other out. It helps reduce our carbon footprint, safeguarding our wonderful shared world for the next generation.
We will be providing information soon about how we propose to run the Library of Things, e.g. opening hours, how tools are maintained and kept in safe working order, the sorts of tasks our volunteers will be doing.
If you sign up here we will keep you in touch (you are not comitting yourself to volunteering with us).
We are working towards opening our first Library of Things, and are considering Chellaston library, kindly offered by Derby City Council:

(We will publish our opening hours soon)
